The quarterly speaker series has become a major hit in the NYC. We bring together professionals and local entrepreneurs to discuss President Trump’s policies and how they impact the local and global economy. We are excited to have Missouri State Senator Maria Chappelle-Nadal join the panel.
The state of Missouri and the entire country erupted in chaos after the 2014 Michael Brown shooting at the hands of police officer Darren Wilson. The riots that ensued touched off a national debate about police brutality and the burgeoning police state in the U.S. Cutting through the riots, chaos and confusion was Missouri State Senator Marie Chappelle-Nadal. She acted as conduit between the media, the people and the police. She helped explain the angst of the people in Ferguson, not just over the Michael Brown shooting, but over inequality and policing in general.
We are all indebted to Chappelle-Nadal for the way she represented African Americans on the world stage. She still has a lot to say about government, the community, President Trump and how to fix the U.S. political system.
