None of the devices harmed anyone and it is still unclear whether they were hoaxes. All of the devices were packed in envelopes lined with Bubble Wrap with return addresses bearing the name of Debbie Wasserman Schultz; the Florida congresswoman was once the  chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee. The mailing labels were computer-printed, and six first-class stamps were affixed to all of the envelopes.

The country has become more polarized after the Financial Crisis of 2008. The upcoming mid-term elections will likely determine policy that could effect the lives of millions of Americans. Whether the government engages in more tax cuts, remove Obamacare or continue stimulus to the rich hangs in the balance. If he country is polarized now the what happens amid the next recession?
