The cases against former President Donald Trump have always struck the Shock Exchange as bizarre. Trump is being investigated in New York for various crimes ranging from fraud to tax evasion. He is being investigated in federal court in Washington, DC and in Fulton County, GA for attempting to overturn the 2020 election. It all appears to be efforts to keep Trump from running for re-election.
However, the case in Georgia may have gotten more bizarre than Trump could have imagined. Trump co-defendant Michael Roman accused district attorney Fani Willis of having a romantic relationship with Trump prosecutor Nathan Wade. Wade has received nearly a million dollars in legal fees. He has allegedly used said legal fees to take Willis on romantic trips. Wade’s competence and impartiality have been scrutinized by defendants. Whether the legal fees have been used as a kickback to Willis remains to be seen.
Wade is also going through a divorce and his soon-to-be ex-wife, Joycelyn Wade just subpoenaed Willis to appear in court:
Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis was subpoenaed to testify in a divorce case involving special prosecutor Nathan Wade, according to the Wall Street Journal, the same day Donald Trump co-defendant Michael Roman sought to disqualify Willis and Wade from prosecuting the former president’s election interference case over allegations that the two were engaged in a romantic relationship.
Willis was subpoenaed Monday to provide testimony in a divorce case between Wade, a lawyer and special prosecutor in Trump’s election interference case, and Jocelyn Wade, his wife, the Journal reported.
The subpoena was reportedly served hours before Roman, a former Trump campaign official and co-defendant in the election interference case, submitted a filing seeking to remove Willis and Wade from the case and accusing both of engaging in an “improper, clandestine personal relationship” during the case’s pendency.
The Shock Exchange understands the divorce papers between Nathan and Joycelyn Wade has been sealed. Whether Willis’s testimony will be made private remains to be seen. The legal submission from Michael Roman alleged that Willis and Wade have gone on a cruise and taken a trip to Napa Valley, amongst other things. This informed has apparently, been collected outside of the sealed divorced papers, but have yet to have been confirmed. What we do know is that the divorce between Nathan Wade and Joycelyn Wade is contentious, and that could spell bad news.
The movie, “Two Can Play That Game,” exposed the games that men and women play. In the heat of battle Tony delivers the bad news to his friend Keith who is having woman problems, “CIA ain’t got nothing on a woman with a plan.”
That’s a long-winded way of saying, “The Shock Exchange has a sneaky suspicion who Michael Roman’s ‘source of information’ is, and there may be more from where that came from.”
