The crazy democrats are the people who walk in restaurants and scream in elected officials’ faces … We have state senator here in Missouri who actually advocated for the assassination of President Trump. That’s a crazy democrat. I don’t do those things. I am not someone who thinks that we should ever be uncivil.
I think what most Missourians want is for us to listen to each other, figure out where we can compromise, not scream in each others’ faces, not call each other names … I’m talking about civility here.
McCaskill is referring to allegations that Chappelle-Nadal called for the assassination of Trump after his language pursuant to the violence in Charlottesville. Nearly every lawmaker in Missouri – democrat and republican – came for Chappelle-Nadal’s neck, yet she is still standing. Now it’s McCaskill neck that’s on the chopping block.
