Buffalo Players Clap Back At Obama After Upsetting Arizona

The NCAA tournament is full of surprises. The Arizona Wildcats were picked by many to win the National Championship. They had Deandre Ayton – arguably the first pick in this year’s NBA draft – and a host of other blue chippers. However, Buffalo had other ideas. The Bulls slapped the Wildcats 89-68 in the first round Thursday. Upsets are what March Madness is all about. Former President Barack Obama also picked Arizona and the Buffalo players clapped back:

So what do you do when you’re on top of the world? What do you do after beating a Final Four contender by 21 points? You call out the former President of the United States of America, of course.

MASSINBURG: President Barack Obama, he picked Arizona to beat us. And I just want to say, President Obama, I’m sorry, but I had to. [Laughter]

CLARK: Should have chose the handsome guys. [Laughter]

Obama released his brackets for the men’s and women’s NCAA tournaments on Wednesday, and had Arizona beating both Buffalo and Kentucky to advance to the Sweet 16. He had a decent first day, going 12 for 16 and nailing the Loyola Chicago-over-Miami upset.

The bulls held Deandre Ayton to only 14 points only 13 field goal attempts. Their guard play was stellar; they controlled the tempo, hit shots from deep and drove the lane to create wide open looks for their teammates. A team beat a group of mercenaries. Let’s see if they can going.
