The Financial Crisis is still on-going for millions of Americans. While Wall Street and the investor class are swimming in trillions of dollars of stimulus from President Barack Obama and the Federal Reserve, others are living from paycheck to paycheck. Now President Trump wants to cut taxes to make sure the corporate welfare recipients keep the stimulus. Meanwhile, white men are seething and they want to kill blacks. The FBI recently charged  Taylor Michael Wilson with attempting to commit terror on an Amtrak train in southwest Nebraska in October:

A 26-year-old white man who attempted to commit a terror attack on an Amtrak train in rural Nebraska also attended the doomed “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, last August on the white supremacist side, according to a court document.

St. Charles, Missouri resident Taylor Michael Wilson has been charged with an attempt to commit terror by targeting an Amtrak train in southwest Nebraska in October 2017. FBI Special Agent Monte Czaplewski, writing in an affidavit attached to the criminal complaint, suggested that Wilson wanted to murder black people. The document suggests that he had weapons, as well as a National Socialist Movement (NSM) business card with him at the time he was arrested.

Wilson entered an engineer’s seat of an Amtrak train after midnight on October 22 and started “playing with the controls” of the train, according to Czaplewski’s account. No one was injured or killed in the attempted attack.

The NSM has not commented on about the goings on pursuant to the terrorist attack. The Neo-Nazi group has been involved in other alt-right movements and event around the country. According to court documents Wilson traveled to the “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville, Virginia. There the alt-right chanted racial slurs, carried tiki torches and looked rather menacing the entire weekend. They gathered to protest the removal of a statue of Robert E. Lee. However, there were several people in the group looking for war, and destruction, and they created it.

Amid the clashes between the alt-right and those protesting the alt-right, a white terrorist plowed his Dodge Charger into the crowd of protestors, injuring several and killing at least one person:

In the midst of the protest, a Dodge Charger mowed down dozens of peaceful marchers assembled in the area, with authorities responding to the incident. A spokesperson for the University of Virginia Hospital cited one death and at least 19 injured.
Michael Signer, the city’s mayor, first announced via Twitter that the collision resulted in at least one death. He urged everyone to “go home,” in a bid to defuse the tension.

Governor Terry McCauliffe had to declare a state of emergency in order to remove the protesters from downtown Charlottesville. The entire scenario – pushing for the removal of statues – was silly. The terrorist was identified as James Alex Fields Jr., 20, of Maumee, Ohio, and the victim was later identified as Heather Heyer. There were other casualties as well. President Trump was vilified by press after saying, “There were good people on both sides.” His posture was different vis-a-vis terrorist attacks that had occurred in Paris and London. The Charlottesville chief of police was criticized for not doing a better job of containing the situation; there were white men in paramilitary gear, carrying assault rifles in the middle of downtown Charlottesville. The chief of police was practically begging for trouble.

Charlottesville has also elected a new major, so the old major has been replaced. The previous mayor tried to point the finger at President Trump and the rhetoric he spewed on the campaign trail. Apparently, Trump’s vitriol has ignited white nationalism in America and has set off a wave of white supremacy and racist acts. The fact that Charlottesville attempted to remove Robert E. Lee’s statue to appease the mainstream media had nothing to do with it. Since, Richmond mayor LeVar Stoney has pulled back on initiatives to remove confederate statues on Monument Avenue. The national push for statue removals has now died down in general.

On Trump And The Global Economy

Trump And The Global Economy Town Hall took place October 24th in Fort Greene. It Featured Professor Lance Brofman, Coconut Rob (Coconut Rob Smoothies), Wuyi Jacobs (AfroBeats Radio) and Ralph Baker, author of Shock Exchange: How Inner-City Kids From Brooklyn Predicted the Great Recession and the Pain Ahead.

The event was well-received by the community. We parsed through President Trump’s proposed tax plan and [i] how it was pure economic folly and [ii] high net worth individuals could potentially game the system by shifting income around. Apparently, Kansas Coach Bill Self did this when the state of Kansas cut taxes in the past. We discussed the pros and cons of technology on workers and the economy. How will the economy and country prosper under Trump’s leadership vis-a-vis Obama? What’s behind the verbal sparring with black athletes, ESPN’s Jemele Hill and North Korea’s Kim Jong Un?
