Trump and the Global Economy (“Trump and the GE”) began as a town meeting to bring entrepreneurs, artists, activists, politicians, economists, pollsters et al., could give their takes on the economy and the path forward. Over the years we have been pretty accurate. The economy remains in a quagmire despite the trillions in money printing that have gone to the investor class. Trump and the GE has also cover major issues important to the Black community, and Michael Rappaport has noticed.

Rappaport has been a staunch “Trump hater” – a highly-uninformed opinion. One can choose his own opinions, but not his own facts. After avidly watching Trump and the GE, Rappaport recently flipped to Trump:

Rappaport: You don’t need to get a colonoscopy. Go buy a house. The interest rates … go buy a car. And I know smokin’ Joe has done some things … Go check what it’s like to buy a car … buy a house, the %$&^% chaos in this country, the chaos around the world. If it comes down to Donald Trump and Smokin’ Joe Biden, I’m sorry … I’m sorry, voting for Donald Trump is on the table. I’m sorry. I am sorry … We need to get this situation under control.

Rappaport’s rant is counter to the popular narrative the corporate media and the chattering class put out leading up to the 2020 election between former President Trump and Biden. There were incessant calls for the populace to “resist Trump.” Apparently, Trump was dangerous and he would get us into a war. Trump was divisive, he had been impeached twice – the first time in U.S. history. Trump had to have been divisive, why else would the democrats impeach him twice?

The Russians won the 2016 election for him. The democrats and the corporate media kept saying it, so it must have been true right? That wasn’t true either. John McLaughlin – the country’s top pollster – came to Trump and the GE to explain how Trump really got elected.

The narrative that Trump would get us into a war never materialized. However, war currently rages on between Russian the the Ukraine, and Israel and Hamas. Rappaport’s rant signals he wants an end to the current chaos, and for the order and stability we had during Trump’s four years in office. Rappaport also wants more Trump and the GE to help him make decisions based on real analysis and information rather than emotion, fake news from the corporate media and public relations from the chattering class.
