If the democrats take enough senate seats to gain a majority they could punish President Trump for the final two years of his term. They could potentially roll back many of the policies he has enacted during his presidency. Trump has vowed to veto any attempts to undo his tax cuts. However, the democrats could stymie Trump on other issues. They could potentially relax immigration laws or get tougher on gun laws. That could be putting the cart before the horse.
