When Kevin Durant joined the Golden State Warriors two years ago it was the shot heard ’round the world. The Warriors had just come off a 73-9 season where they destroyed the entire NBA. They lost to a LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Finals in seven games. There was no way Cleveland should have been close to the Warriors. Golden State underachieved and shrunk in the moment. What was their response? Instead of getting better, and more mentally tough they recruited Durant who was arguably the second-best player in the L behind LeBron.
Former Knicks great Walt “Clyde” Frazier weighed in on Durant’s decision to leave the Oklahoma City Thunder to be given a trophy with the Warriors.
