The Michigan Wolverines are taking on the Villanova Wildcats in the NCAA Championship Game. The way Villanova destroyed Alabama, out-muscled West Virginia and dismantled Kansas the game seem liek a forgone conclusion. After all, Michicgan had to have a miracle shot from freshman Jordan Poole to upend Houston. At halftime junior Donte Divincenzo – “Michael Jordan of Delaware” had 18 of halftime. With just over5 minutes left Nova leads 69-50, Divincenzo clocking in with 29 points. Only Wagner (16 points) and Abdur-Rahkman (17 points) had double figures for Michigan.
Needless to say there is no way Villanova will lose this lead. This will be The Wildcats’ second chip in three years and third overall. Michigan simply wasn’t ready for this juggernaut. They missed too many open shots and gave up second and third shot attempts early in the game. With Divincenzo about to hand 30 on the Wolverines they never had a chance … All over but the crying.
