Georgia has been in the national consciousness ever since Stacey Abrams won the Democratic nomination for governor, becoming the first African-American female to win a gubernatorial nomination from a major political party. She took Brian Kemp into that proverbial deep water, before succumbing amid accusations of voter suppression. There were rumors that certain voting machines in black neighborhoods miraculously did not work on election day, and blacks had to wait in line darn near all day to cast their ballots. The performance made Abrams a media darling and a star for the Democratic party. She later returned the favor by helping to flip Georgia blue for Biden in the recent presidential election.

All eyes will remain on Georgia heading into the gubernatorial election next year. Can the Democrats win take the cake this time or around or will they flame out like they did in Virginia? There could be more surprises if future Govern Al Bartell has his say. Bartell is running as an independent and in the above video, he spoke to Trump And The GE to explain his candidacy:

My 12th grade guidance counselor one day announced my own country name. She said ‘Elbert Arthur Bartell, I’ve got somebody I want you to meet,’ and it was an air force recruiter, and my whole world altered. I got a chance to see things and places that people only read about. I am one of the last vestiges of the Vietnam-era veteran. I went in during the fall of Saigon in the early ’70s. I got out after eight years and used my G.I. bill to go back to school, and I majored in business and conflict management.

As a consultant … my whole world was public engagement, working with neighborhood leaders, community leaders, faith leaders and small business leaders, so they would have a seat at the table in urban, suburban and rural communities … landed here in Georgia about 30 years ago, and started doing that as a professional, doing it as an activist and doing it as an advocate, and then began to consider that one of the best ways to get a message out before the people was to become a candidate …

I have run for mayor. I have run for lieutenant governor of Georgia. I have run for United States Senator of Georgia, and now in the next election cycle I will be running of governor of Georgia in the 2022 election cycle.

Governor Bartell has the background and the passion to lead the state of Georgia. He is willing to take on tough issues, including the opioid crisis, facing the state and the nation. All eyes will be on Georgia and Governor Elbert Arthur Bartell. Stay tuned …
