Eminem addressed MGK point-by-point. He opened the track with, “Rihanna just hit me on a text. Last night I left hickies on her neck.” This was a rebuttal to MGK’s claim that Eminem didn’t have the backbone to ask Rihanna for her phone number. This is effective because if debunks a key claim of MGK, which could bring all of Rap Devil under scrutiny – if one diss is not factual then the rest could be lies as well. Throughout the track Eminem talked that “boss ___.” Eminem implied MGK was a “stan” and referred to him as such several times.
Claims that (1) his worst flops were bigger than MGK’s greatest hits and (2) when he was in his ’20s Eminem could have burned cash in front of MGK for sport are devastating to MGK. Overall, Eminem was in the pocket … relaxed and sonned MGK like he would his nephew or his actually son. The diss track was light work for Shady. While MGK was trying hard on Rap Devil, Eminem resorted to muscle memory on KillShot and ended MGK’s career.
