The fifth installment of Trump and the Global Economy (“Trump And The GE”) featured Ralph Baker (author of Shock Exchange), Professor Lance Brofman and Missouri State Maria Chappelle-Nadal. The event has become the top speaker series in the country. Ms. Chappelle-Nadal and Mr. Baker got into a heated discussion over the removal of confederate statues and the how the country could potentially recover from the tragedy in Charlottesville VA last year. Taking a knee, inequality, mass incarceration, etc. continue to dominate the public discourse; some of these issues have become conflated. Mr. Baker thought Charlottesville was “manufactured drama, ” which got Ms. Chapppelle-Nadal’s dander up:
